In my tree I have the parents of Ann Robson my 4 times great grandmother, as George Robson and Elizabeth Barley, Ann married George Smith on 18Th February 1817 in Loftus North Yorkshire.
Now a  Cousin of mine who is also doing the family tree, says this information is wrong, she says Ann surname was Robinson not Robson and her parents were George Robinson and Elizabeth Oughtred.
I do not have any subscriptions to any on line ancestry sites, so can anyone advise me on were i might be able to check the marriage in Loftus in 1817, to see if the bride was called Robson or Robinson.

I have found him in American census in 1930 it states he was widower, so Ellen must have died between 1922 and 1930.
So they must have stayed in America and not as stated in previous post only went for 6 months

I am trying to trace a James Driscoll who married my grandfathers sister Susan Flynn, they married 28 Nov 1911 in Boherbee, i am trying to find his death.
i have found a record for a James Driscoll having served in the Irish Rifle Regiment in world war one, but this gives no further information so i do not know if this is him.
On the marriage certificate it gives his father as John Driscoll.
Can anyone give me advice as to were to look next.
