more good news for those of you with ancestors from Kent - the Kent Messenger Group are putting thousands of pages from their newspaper archive online this month, and they're going to be free to search for everyone in the UK. The archive will include issues of the South Eastern Gazette (forerunner of the Kent Messenger) from 1852-1912;

Here’s where we are!...
We have catalogued and repaired the pages.
We are now going through the tenders so hopefully the pages will be ready to view by the end of the year or early next year.
All very exciting but a fairly slow operation due to the nature of the work.

:D  Hi I am Carol Southee and Albert was my grandfathers half brother.  I have lots of records on Albert as my family are the only living relatives from his mother side, Margaret Coonen and her marriage to Walter Roscoe.  There maybe other Roscoes out there that are descended from his fathers side from his first marriage but apparently they didn't want to know the children from the second marriage.

also there is another Child showing mother Sarah Ann

1898/81   Southee Joseph Robert   Mother Sarah Ann   Father  NR.  Joseph I found did in 1906.   One of my Uncles born a few years later was named Joseph Robert John Charles which was a habit of my granddads to name the children after other family.  One of my Aunties was name Isabel Sarah Annie.  So I do get a bit confused.

I see what you mean,  but all my records are down home.    Have a look for yourself,(see web address below) also you will find Patricia's death in 1920.  I suppose it could Sarah Alf and my grandads Charles sister Sarah.  Will think about this, still need to get at my records.
