Thank you so much for that. Do you know what happened to children then between the ages of 3 and 5? Also do you know if the Brighowgate home was requisitioned during WW1?

I know that Brighowgate Children's Home opened in 1913 but does anyone know which month the first children moved in? Also, where were they before the home opened? Would they have been in the Grimsby Union?

I agree that I have probably got his age wrong. But if he is, say 14, in the picture, then it will have been taken in either 1914 or 1936. Would I be right to assume that the clothes look more 1914 than 1936?

This schoolboy is one of two people in my family's past. As he looks around 8-10 years old, it was either taken in the period 1908-1910 or 1929-1930, depending on which family member he is. Could somebody tell if the clothes indicate one or other of these periods?
