Dear Harewoodhouse,
Thanks for replying, I am trying to get my head around how this site works with the messaging, so apologies if you have received multiple messages, did you get this one....?

hi harewoodhouse, Do you know of a Great aunty Ninna who lived in australia? or an Aunty Polly with no legs? I'm just starting out on this exploring of family members and already a photo of the Hamers glass/plumbing shop is amazing...Ant

The reason I'm exploring the family is because my mum is now in a home with dementia and the things she is saying are all mixed up. Our family was never spoken about as I was growing up so I'm quite intrigued, but only have little snippets, it would be good to know a bit more.

I remember the glass shop vaguely, being taken with my Gran, Emma, who was a Hamer and lived there. Her brother was Sid Hamer. Would this be your family as well? I know people shared houses a lot in those days so it may not be. My mum did not live there as Emma had married and moved up to Reddish Lane, Gorton by then.
I'd love to hear from you more....Ant

I have just seen a photo you posted of the Hamers glass shop Hyde road Manchester. You may not still be using this sight but I will give it a go. My great grand mother and grandmother also lived /worked in that shop. My grand mother then moved to New Zealand. If you get this please do respond, I will write some more if I hear from you....Ant
