I'm sure - tho not definite yet - that Cochrane's buildings was the big block on Fidler St. 1861 census has 30 families there.

I've just found some of my ancestors living in Cochrane's Buildings, and am going to look in Teesside Archives this week, to see if I can find exactly where they were on Fidler St

My great grandmother lived in Pollard Street, Middlesbrough according to her wedding cert. Could anyone enlighten me to where it is? I live in Middlesbrough so would love to go and see where it was

Hi I can tell you where Pollard street was. If you go between the town hall and victoria park towards the law courts you will come to Jedburgh Street. Now turn around and walk back about 30 paces and Pollard Street was on your right hand side. I hope this helps Derek

Hello! I've done a lot of research on the Terraces of M'bro & Primrose Terrace was part of the block just after Emily ST, built over the site of the Grange Farm
