Robert Johnstone was baptised 3/1/1906 at St. Clement, Ordsall in Salford, son of James and Frances.

James Johnstone 29, son of Robert, married Frances Robinson 27, dau. of Joseph Robinson married 14/6/1905 Salford.

From census and trees on ancestry James Johnstone was born c.1876 in Barrow in Furness, son of a Robert Johnstone and Dorothy.

The 1881 census shows that both Robert bc.1848 and Dorothy bc.1853 were born in Scotland as was their first child William ca.1873.

William Johnstone b.20/1/1873 Troqueer, Kircudbright son of Robert Johnstone and Dorothea Stevenson.

Robert Johnston married Dorothy Stevenson 18/10/1872 Troqueer, Kircudbright.

If you buy some credits for Scotlands People you will be able to view the marriage certificate which will also show the names of both of the couples parents.

Thank you Annette if memory serves me right grand dad passed away in 1991 not 100% sure but i remember my son was only a baby  but thank you for your help xx
