Grateful for any assistance to identify Robert (Bob) Johnstone's military service.  His Regimental No is 65003 but Regiment is unknown.

Robert John JOHNSTONE b 1899 639/1258 Dalziel, Lanarkshire, parents James Johnstone and Margaret MMN Campbell.
Married 1923 Barbara Millar NISBET 1923 639/129 Dalziel, Lanarkshire

A Robert and Barbara Johnstone sailed from Southampton on the ship 'Hororata' on 10 April 1926 to Auckland, New Zealand.

Robert died in Wellington, NZ on 13 June 1940 age 40 yrs and is buried in the Karori cemetery, Wellington, NZ.
Death Notices in the Evening Post newspaper, Wellington mention youngest son of James and Mrs Margaret Morrison; brother of Mrs W G Morrison, Mornington, NZ; brother of James Johnstone, Lower Hutt, NZ and brother of Mrs J McNeil, Lower Hutt, NZ.

Looking for information on Robert's military service only.  Any assistance greatly appreciated.

Evelyn Cecilia Stevenson was born on 4 December 1889, Edmonton, Middlesex, England to Maud Mary Stevenson nee Haycroft and William Henry Stevenson.

Familysearch has a death for her on 14 August 1913, Newton Abbot, Devon.
Beneficiary's of her Will are her Mother Maud Mary BEARNE and her Step-father Cuthbert Symons BEARNE.

Evelyn has an older sister Gwendoline Maud Stevenson, born June Q 1887, Edmonton, Middlesex who married Arnold C BERETTA in 1912 in Islington, London.  A son Arnold S Beretta was born on 15 April 1915 Pancras.  He married in 1950 to Catherine G Cairns [d 2004] and died in 1986, Market Harborough, Leicestershire.

Would like to know where Evelyn Cecilia Stevenson is buried and if there was a death notice?

Looking for information or advice on avenues for further research as live in NZ, re Aishton/Ashton Haycroft.  Name in England 1861 census is Haycross.

Aishton aka Ashton HAYCROFT was born July 1859 in Plymouth, Devon, England to Samuel Haycroft/Elizabeth Jane Aishton.  Elizabeth died in BA, Argentina in 1864.  Samuel died in Surrey, England in February 1884.
Siblings Clara b 1855 died 1865 BA, Argentina; Sidney/Sydney b Oct 1856 Plymouth; and Maud Mary b Oct 1860 - marr William Henry Stevenson [2 daus Gwendoline Maud b 1887 Edmonton, Eng marr 1912 Islington, Eng to Arnold C Beretta and Evelyn Cecilia b 1890 Edmonton, Eng.]

Ancestry has a Merchant Navy Apprentice Aishton Haycroft age 16 yrs, Registered Indenture 1 Dec 1875, term 4 yrs, Bound to Hargrove & Co, 7 Chapel st, Liverpool, England.  29 Nov 1875 'Iron Duke' 45933.

A Haycroft appears on Crew/Passenger List for 'Iron Duke', Liverpool to Sydney, NSW, Australia arriving on 12 April 1876 - Apprentice.

A Haycroft deserted 'Iron Duke' on 21 September 1876 at San Francisco.

He returns to England [dates unknown] as he next appears age 18 Indenture Bond registered 2 October 1877 at London, term 3 years Bound to C T? Bowington, Liverpool 47522 'Ophelia', deserted 9 August 1878 at San Francisco.  Lost track of him after this.

His brother? Sydney/Sidney Haycroft is in NZ and was last found in 1883.  His occupation according to his marriage cert is Accountant.  Lost track of him after his marriage.

Any info/advice appreciated.

I haven't done much research on this family, however from my Taylor family notes;
'J Taylor' is James Taylor who died in 1932 age 47 years.
In his obituary published in the Evening Post on 20 August 1932, it states that he assisted his brother-in-law “Dorrie” Leslie with massage work as part of the All Blacks training prior to the third test against the Springboks [at Athletic Park on 17 September 1921.  The score was 0-0.  Athletic Park resembled a lake due to heavy rain].

James officially accompanied the All Blacks to Australia in 1929.
