Hi, I am an descendant of Abel and Elizabeth Dickinson. Abel was an American Whaling Ship Captain who married Elizabeth. From what I was told Elizabeth was full maori (she had a moko and only full maori had those back then) and came from a Gisborne Tribe. They settled up North and my Great Grandfather was Eugene Dickinson. I have further information if you are interested. The name Agnes rings a bell to me.
