Down / George Gibbs
« on: Thursday 16 June 16 16:35 BST (UK)  »
George Gibbs who lived in Princes Street, Bolton, Lancashire from 1921 until his death in 1925 was a brush maker!  He was thought to be a founder member and possible secretary of the local branch of the British Legion when it started up! as I cannot find any reference to this fact, can anyone shed any light on this? I would be extremely grateful for any info, thanks.

can anyone please fill in the blanks? in 1911 George's wife Annie (Ms Morgan) and children Mary Jane Gibbs aged  7years and George Joseph Gibbs aged 5years were visitors in her brother Arthur Morgans house, Bonecastle, Holllymount, Down. George Gibbs was we think working in Dublin (Brushmaker). I cannot find any other records of the families whereabouts until in 1921 when they were living in Princess Street, Bolton, Lancashire. a gap of some 10years, PS they were married at St, Mirens RC church in Paisley, Scotland in 1902.
