Absolutely! Anything will help. I'm hoping also to see wether my ancestor was sentenced to transportation lol I found one John Cumberland sentenced for stealing 134 yards of Callico and transferred to colony. But I'm not sure if he is any relation.

:D really?! that would be fantastic! I have seen wills linking back to Thomas Cumberland.  The son Thomas that is in my direct lineage was born in 1744 and it looks he is the only one to come to the US, however on census records in the US William lives with or next to him and are within a few years age of each other. So I would assume the two brothers made it to the US. Duane,Butler,PA.    Will link below.

Hi all. I am searching into my Wysall Cumberland lineage. The earliest I have gotten to is William 1609-1643. + Josie Ragge 1613-1689.   Parents of John 1634-1703 (wife Margaret Hornbuckle 1634-1711).  Parents of John 1672-1722 (wife Elizabeth Keightley 1678- xxxx). Etc...

I have gotten to my first State side ancestor Thomas Cumberland (1744-1810) Born in Kegworth, Leicestershire' England.  Died in Dunbar, Fayetteville County, Pennsylvania.

Has anyone been able to locate prior to William of 1609-1643? Or know of his burial spot? I would assume his wife Josie having lived upwards of 45 yrs. after his death may have remarried but can't be sure.
