I have just found this from the historical newspapers. Do you know anything about ... Elliott Esq.?
I wonder if this was Daniel Kirk junior. He was still alive at this time and about 48 years old.
I was not able to paste the whole contents but it was about Carrington Horticultural Society which held their annual Autumn Show in the National School room in Carrington.

Article text:"judges, Mr. Daniel Kirk, gardener to — Elliott, Esq., Daybrook, and Mr. John Grundy, Snenton. Robbery in Canal Street. — During the night of Sunday last, three strikes of barley were stolen from premises in Canal Street, the property of Mr. John Thorpe Notintone"
