« on: Thursday 26 June 25 21:42 BST (UK)  »
My great-uncle and his fiancé, both residents of San Francisco, California went over the border in 1938 and were married in Tijuana, Mexico. I have been unable to find the actual marriage date for them. Any suggestions on how to find out this information? His name: Harold John Morck (1903-1974); her name: Ellen Anna Kristina Johnson (1907-1997). Thanks SO much!

« on: Tuesday 24 June 25 01:18 BST (UK)  »
Hi, again, CatsC, I know it's been quite a while since you responded yo this post. I'm very interested in seeing your Jeffrey tree, linking the Polwarth Jeffreys to the Aberdeen Jeffreys. Is there any chance you could share this with me? Thanks so much!

Berwickshire / Polwarth or Fogo Kirk paintings
« on: Monday 16 June 25 13:59 BST (UK)  »
My Jeffrey ancestors (1660 - 1740) were blacksmiths in the Polwarth and Fogo areas. Their OPR records have survived, and I've been able to visit these kirks. I would like to display artwork from this part of Scotland in my home, and am wondering if anyone is aware of paintings of these kirks? Thanks for any thoughts or suggestions.

United States of America / House Information in 1920s Detroit, Michigan
« on: Saturday 17 February 24 04:59 GMT (UK)  »
My g-grandparents (Henry and Jennie Jeffrey) lived in Detroit, Michigan in the 1920s. They are listed in the 1920 US census in Detroit. They lived at 1503 Montclair Ave in Detroit in June, 1925. By 1930, they had moved to Seattle, Washington, where they are listed there in the 1930 US census. I am attempting to determine when they moved to Seattle. Are there records online that might tell me when their house was sold sometime between 1925 and 1930? Thanks!

United States of America / Looking for Santa Monica street photo from 1933
« on: Thursday 05 October 23 17:29 BST (UK)  »
My g-grandfather, Henry Jeffrey, lived at 943 Ocean Avenue in Santa Monica, CA. Attached is a photo of him on his steps in 1933. The residence has been torn down, and is currently replaced by apartments. Is it possible to see a photo of what it looked like in 1933? How might I access an old photo of the place?

United States of America / Re: Los Angeles 1927 Post Office Location

Thanks so much, everyone! In the photo of the group of mailmen there is a 1010 over the front door of the building. So it's probably 1010 W. 48th Street

United States of America / Los Angeles 1927 Post Office Location
« on: Friday 19 May 23 18:03 BST (UK)  »
My grandfather was a mailman in Los Angeles in the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s. I have a photograph of him with his fellow mailmen in front of the Los Angeles Post Office G. I'm wondering where this Post Office was located? He regularly delivered mail in the Vermont Avenue area. Thanks!

For everyone's information, I was able to locate the accident data on ODOT's website. It looks like just a bunch of numbers and letters at first, but if you look at what the codes mean, you're able to piece together the bigger picture. I've attached what it looks like and the codes.
