thank you yes that,s his wife i,m descended through his son and grandson both Alexander who moved to Hamilton in lanarkshire, I,m trying to find out if he was born in Farr and if he died in Midlothian.

Looking for Alexander Mathieson and family who moved from Farr to Leith in Midlothian early to mid 1800s,he was a Tailor.

Researching my family I found my great-grandfather Alexander Mathieson was a footman at Glenlee House when he got married in 1890,I actually live not far from where the house was.
