Hi Chelsea

I have June Carole Skene to have married twice, would this be correct? 1962 & 1964.

Thanks Sandra

Have just reactivated my newspaperarchive account as Andrew Skene's Obit wasn't on newspapers.com, also found an announcement for his 96th birthday.

I have been using this to gather info on the family

https://digitalcollections.lib.umanitoba.ca/islandora/object/uofm:manitobia

Typed in Skene and have been going through all newspapers and books that they have, takes a while but getting there. As I have added more to my tree since I first used this I have had go back and look through it all again incase articles etc are now relevant.

Hi Wanda

I am so sorry if I didn't reply to you.  I was having issues with my email last year which means I might not have seen an email about your post, I am only just back to checking roots as I had a reply to another post I had on.  I will private message you and hopefully we can swap some information,

Thanks for that ShaunJ

Did not know he was an O.B.E, wish he was in my family tree! I'm doing a family members tree (cousin of cousin etc) so she will be so chuffed with this.  I have managed to find some articles in the british newspapers archives, including one for a son who died while climbing.

Thank you for that, found the info. Stupidly never thought to actually check Scotland's People and found out that he was a retired journalist when he died.
