WW1 records are all digitised and free to view.

Just put his full name in the keywords box and search, then click on the icon on the right hand side of his indexed entry in the 'digitised item' column.  There are 22 pages.

There is a David with a Ada Mary Ann Blair born 1890 canning town essex. Is this his mother?

Thank you AntonyMMM for your reply, any ideas where to search newspapers for Silvertown/North Woolwich West Ham Essex, I must admit I never heard of any reports, but things were kept quite in those family days, I feel more likely medical reasons? but worth a look? thank you again for your help.
