Thanks again for all this info. You are a great analyst. James McC was the father of Sam Sr. so William may well have been his father, the age would be about right. I've emailed the school as Nicola McC is on the Board of Governors so there may be a link there, awaiting a reply. I read that Rev. Frank Gibson was still at the church in 2013 so will try to contact him. I don't have an email for the church, I might be able to go through the Presbyterian Church in Newry. Cheers!

Samuel Jr married Emma Myers there children were  Eva May b.1901 d.1965, Lorne Herbert b. 1903 d.1918, Beatrice Muriel b.1906 d.1984, Samuel Ross b.1915 d.1992, Margorie Grace b.1917 d.2015. I have their birth, marriage, death and children info for anyone who would like. We are planning a trip to Armagh so any local contact would be appreciated.

Hello Pergamond. Years ago my sister contacted The Presbyterian Historical Society of Ireland in Belfast.  The assistant secretary offered to send Ms. Elliot's address. I don't think my sister followed up on this. The gentleman did send a copy of the Earlist List of Communicants in Kingsmills Church as recorded by Rev. Meeke 1864. This list shows many women in Divernagh. Our family is the McCormicks. Any chance we are related. We live in BC Canada.
