Longevity is a family trait.  ;D ;D Thanks for the catch. She died in 1839.

Hello Radcliff,

The only information I have that Thomas Costello married Mary Davey.
I think Mary Davey’s parents are William Francis Davey and Mary Davey.
(I don’t know Mary Davey's mother's maiden name)

Hi Janice,

This just caught my eye. A William Francis Davey (1800-1857) is my 3x great-grandfather. His wife was Mary McNulty (1805-1939). they had a daughter Mary in 1827. I have them living in Curry, Sligo, and Doocastle, Mayo. This daughter Mary, however, married Timothy McCluskey in St. Lawrence County, New York. She was my 2x great-grandmother. I'd love to connect and compare notes. Naming was weird and maybe there were two WF Daveys.

Hi there. I don't know how much information I have but maybe a connection. My third great-grandparent, Lawrence Connolly and Jane McGuire, were in Drumgoon for a bit. I don't know if Jane was from there, maybe Lawrence? There first two children, May Jane (1833) and Patrick (1835) were born in Drumgoon. All subsequent children were born in Belfast, and they did have a son Thomas. I know common name, but it could tie them together.

Hi jumping on years later just to add that Ann Collins, Alfred's wife, was my ggg grandmother's sister. I went down the Alfred rabbit hole almost 20 years ago. It is a fascinating story.

Hi Kathleen, I am wondering how you found out the parents of Mary Davey? I believe we share her as a gg grandmother, but I have struggled to find evidence of her parents and birth.

My Mary did not marry Thomas Costello, but Timothy McCluskey. I have her with her dad in New York State. But there could be a connection if they are from the same area. Have you found your Mary's parents yet?

Kathleen

Mary Davey was my gg grandmother as well. She married Tom Costello

Denis Costello Brisbane

I'm late to the game for sure, but sadly this would be another Mary Davey. My Mary Davey was born in 1827 and married Timothy McCluskey in Louisville, NY, which is at the Canadian border. But maybe we have some kind of connection.

Hi there. I just saw this and am thinking I never responded to you regarding Edward Wells. I am assuming this is Josiah and Jane's son? I would love to hear from you.

Thanks a lot. My guy is James E. Hayes. He was working there in 1881, but gone to the States by 1884. Good luck.
