I am searching for details of Florence Millie Amelia O’Coburn
Her name appears on her son Reginald Edwin Gray’s birth certificate of 23/2/1923 in Stilton, Peterborough as Florence Millie Amelia Gray late Coleman formerly O’Coburn and shows her age as 26.
I know she married Frederick Gray 4/9/1919 as a spinster in Sandhurst and is shown on 1921 Census with husband Frederick and children living in Peterborough. Her age here is shown as 30 and 7 months.
It shows her as born in Kensington, London. Her Death cert shows DOB as 21/12/1893.
My problem is I can’t find any reference to her with the name O’Coburn.
Help.

Kilkenny / Re: help needed new to Irish research
« on: Monday 08 July 24 13:37 BST (UK)  »
Thanks for all the information folks. Never used family search so thanks for finding Mart/Murt (often gets mistaken or maybe Anglicised)

I'd like to find his movements in Ireland from Mountmellick to Kilkenny.

Patrick's marriage cert shows his father deceased which ties in with the date of death provided as 1955 in Bradford.
In English records he lived Bradford till 1858 when he enlisted and on Discharge in 1878 he was  discharged to Newcastle upon Tyne.

Thanks for the tip on writing to the newspaper i will certainly consider doing that.

Kilkenny / help needed new to Irish research
« on: Wednesday 03 July 24 20:00 BST (UK)  »
Hello everyone I'm new to researching Irish records and would appreciate if anyone can point me in the right direction.
My great great grandfather Patrick (sometimes k/as Peter) Conroy was born in Mountmellick Co Laois in 1840 (possibly 19/01/1840). His parents were Murtagh Conroy & Mary Conroy (nee McDermott).
By 1858 Patrick was living in the UK in the city of Bradford then moved on to Newcastle on Tyne.
I'm lead to believe that sometime prior to 1858 the family moved to Kilkenny where his father Murtagh ran a fresh fish shop.
I'd like to find out when and where they moved to in Kilkenny and are there any business records I can use to find out more about this.
I did find a recent article in a Kilkenny newspaper concerning a Mick Conroy who was closing his fresh fish shop business which had been set up by his father Michael. Could this be the same family? How do I find out if this could be linked to Murtagh?
Thanks in advance for any offers  of help.

Hi all I'm looking for any military records for a  distant relative.

Alfred Benjamin Blakesley born Lambeth Aug 1917. Also lived  Norwood and Bromley.

I  know he served WW2 in the Royal Engineers  later transferring to the Signals. I seem to remember he had a  few campaign  medals  but so long ago i can't remember which ones.
Sorry that's all I've got but hopefully someone  can find some details for me.

Thanks in advance.
