Thanks for responding. Yes, I'm a descendant. John Curtis was my half uncle and I was lucky to meet him a few times before he died in 2018.

Hi - I realise your post was a long time ago, but I just came across it and am just curious about what you were searching for as Henry Stoneadge and Bessie were my great grandparents. Their daughter Frances was my grandmother.

Oh - just realised you sent an earlier post with the memoirs! Thanks so much.

Oh dear - this is all very confusing for me! Anyway, will give it a try like this for Stephen 1917.

Oh - I don't want to upset them! So, how do we get each other's email addresses then?

Thank you Stephen 1917 for your quick response. How great if you could email me your mother's memoirs - and maybe the photo as well? But - I don't know how I go about getting your email address from Rootschat? I don't have a problem giving you my email address in a post on here though.

Hi - my name is Jenny and I live in South Africa. I am new to family research, but have been told about Way House and believe my late aunt resided there in the 1920s. I don't know anything about Way House other than what I've found on line, so I have been very interested to find the post from Stephen1917. I would love to read your late mother's memoirs to give me an idea of the life my aunt had in those days. And it would be so great if you could email the group photo you mentioned from about 1927. Hoping this won't be any trouble for you. Thank you in advance.
Jenny
