hello there.
I have a friend who would like to contact you about your family, but he is not familiar with how to use this forum.   I wonder if you would be interested for him to contact you off list.   Would you consider giving me your email address to pass on to him.   Thank you.

ps   Did you get a good transcription of the certificate you put on here.  (last two columns.???)

Hello Clarice,

How exciting!  A friend (who is also a distant relative on the Sturch line) told me about your query on this site.  So I had to write.

I am also descended from William Sturch and Mary Ann Powell, of Wigginton.   It's been a long time since I have found anyone researching this family, but do have "cousins" in Canada and England that I am in touch with regularly.

I visited the Nhill cemetery about 4 years ago, and saw the Sturch graves there, what a marvellous feeling it was to be there.

I am descended from Emma Sturch, who married Arthur Henry James at Nhill in 1890.  They had 8 children, Edith Cornelie James being my Grandmother.

I have the Sturch family in Wigginton back to the marriage of Thomas Sturch and Ann Bloxham at Banbury in 1753, but haven't really got any further back on this line, although there was a Thomas Sturch of the 'approximate' right age from Whichford, but have never proved he is ours.

Best wishes from (genie)Val.
