Thank you hmcc!

The icing on the cake - I did have Mary's father as James Foster, occupation Farmer, but only from her marriage certificate so no age, abode, etc.  Can't thank you enough for all the information, especially the name of Mary's mother.  Will definitely now have a look at SP to help me further in my research.  Thank you also for the link to the Churchyard, another gem from you.

I very much appreciate your time and effort in providing this information.  With very many thanks - Zephyr

Thank you Matt and Forfarian for your further information.  As Ellen Foster is a servant, I don't think the Paynes and/or McElders are any relation.  Isabella's mother is Mary Foster but on census information I have she just lists that she was born in Scotland.  It could be that Ellen Foster is Mary's sister in which case there is a good chance that Mary was born in Twynholm which gives me a starting point, which is more than I had before!  Thank you both so much for your time and help.  Lots for me to get my teeth into!!!!

Thank you both so much for your replies.  Looks like this is indeed my Isabella Conning born Liverpool.  Had forgotten about the LDS site - old age!!!!  Much appreciate the time you have spent looking this query up for me.  With many thanks - Zephyr :) :)

Does anyone have access to the 1881 Scottish census please?  I am looking for an Isabella Conning born 1874 Liverpool, England.  She is not with her parents on the England 1881 census but I have found an Isabella Coming on the Scottish 1881 census, Borgue, Kircudbright (Ref 858/2/12).  Unfortunately, I am not able to access the details.  Isabella's parents were William Conning and Mary Foster, both from Scotland - William from Kirkcudbrightshire.  They married in Liverpool.  I am wondering if Coming has been mistranscribed and should be Conning? Any clarification of the entry would be greatly appreciated.  Many thanks.  Zephyr.

Thank you so much Eileen and Sandra.  What a great Christmas present!  Definitely my Alfred Newby Boyle.  Now, thanks to you both, I know his wife died before him and he had a daughter Sharon who married a Ferguson.  Christmas on a back burner for the next couple of hours while I digest all this new information!  A Very Merry Christmas to you both and, again, thank you so much for all your time and effort in gaining me all this new information.

With grateful thanks - Zephyr

On a certain site there is an Obituary Index for an Alfred Boyle dated 18th March 1995 in The Vancouver Sun.  Spouse is named Beth.  Child is named Sharon.  Alfred's date of birth is given as 10th June 1910, born Vancouver.  Unfortunately, I am unable to access the record as not a member of that section.  I have Alfred's birth as Abt. 1910 and he married an Elizabeth Whitehurst in 1935.  Have no information on any children.  Is anyone able to access the record and let me know if any further information is given, i.e. home address to help me connect this death.  With many thanks.  Zephyr.

Hello Sue.  Many thanks - can't be more than one Florence with a mother's name of Rosina Amelia!  Looks like Florence died in 1985 and Rosina could be 1994 - just need to see if I can find article in Sydney Morning Herald in case further information given.

Many thanks Sue and to all who replied.
