Hello,
Good to hear back so quickly. From my info William Simpson and his wife Mary Henderson came to Canada in 1853 or1854 with their infant son Alexander. My uncle said that Alexander claimed to be a man of no country as he was born on the boat, however I found a record of his birth in Leochel Cushnie Scotland, not far the parish of Towie. William's younger brother Arthur also came to Canada at this time. I have photos of them all. William and Arthur's parents and siblings are buried in the Kildrummy graveyard, recorded on one tombstone. A brother James seemed to disappear from records after his daughter Margaret was born in 1837. Would like to find out more about him. I also have a bit of info on Mary's family.

Since postinghave talked to a relative who understood that William came to Canada first , with his parents. Simpson Senior was a  teacher. My relative has been unable to locate the burial place of the parents and wondered if they "gave it up as a bad job" and returned to Scotland  Again, thankyou for your assistance
I have all the info on William Simpson since he came to Canada. He and his brother settled on farms just down the road from me. They are buried in Wing ham , Ontario. I put together a small book on them a few years ago.
