Hello and thanks for your post - sorry for the delay, I have been attending the 1916 Commemorations and haven't had a chance to reply until today.

James Seery did have a younger sister called Kathleen. Her father was called John and her mother Catherine - both are buried at Glasnevin Cemetery, and it is possible to obtain the records should you wish. You might also be interested in the 1911 Census which lists the family at that point as John (Head of Family), Catherine (Wife), Mary Josephine (Daughter), James Patrick (Son), Teresa (Daughter), Kathleen (Daughter) & Patrick (Son).

Thanks for the information about the book "Our Rising" and Kathleen's contribution - I will certainly be purchasing a copy.

This was my grandfather!! James Seery of 10 Beresford Place (No 188 on the Membership Roll of the Irish Citizen Army) was in the North Wall Section of the ICA and is listed on the City Hall Garrison, Roll of Honour. He was born in 1894 and died on the 8th October 1974. He fought in Dublin Castle, Dublin (Guardroom, Upper Castle Yard); he evaded arrest or capture following his participation in the 1916 Easter Rising, had no further service and was awarded the 1916 Rising Medal for his services.

I hope this helps
