The only way to really check that is to obtain the marriage certificate, unless there is some other way to check the marriage without paying.

I have now received the will of Kathleen Stephens. 

It tells us nothing at all about Ann, no mention of her whatsoever.  If Ann was already dead then not surprising.

Three legacies left to three people, Edith Lawson, George Lawson and Joan Wood.  No indication as to their relationship to Kathleen.  The rest of the estate was left to her other daughter Helen.

No further forward regarding Ann.  Did Kathleen lose contact with Ann at some point? 

I seem to remember finding that Ann had travelled to the US and, if I recall correctly, her occupation was given as air stewardess. Gallicrow states this was in 1960.

The mystery of Ann continues.  To find out what happened to her would involve a great deal of research and quite likely expense.  She either married or stayed single and lived in the US or came back to the UK.

One wonders where that information of Ann dying in 1966 came from.

It looks as though Kathleen made a will:-

Depends on whether anyone wishes to stick their neck out and obtain a copy of what I assume would have been a will.  Not sure how much it would cost.

Sorry to say so but I am dubious about the accuracy of that information.

No death on Free BMD between 1964 and 1968 for any Ann Stephens or Stevens aged 35 or thereabouts.  Just putting in Anne and September quarter 1966 again does not produce one aged 35.

I can't check the GRO as they don't have those years on the deaths.

Her death information appears on IMBd along with a brief resume of her career.  No indication as to how she died or where in the UK.  Also no mention if she married.

Whether there was any mention of this in a newspaper who knows. 

The current battery was bought in September 2020 so nearly four years old.  I've made a note of the one that I bought so that I can buy the same one when necessary.

I'm assuming that how quickly the battery depletes depends on how much you are using the computer. It's now at 35% so would need to charge it again soon.
