what is the best site to get information older than 1813? I need info from 1780 and beyond. I am not fortunate to live in the UK (it is on my bucket list to visit in the future!!) and get to my roots in Northumberland/Durham.
I am an ancestry.co.uk subscriber but cannot find what I am looking for?

 ?  - Its very tenuous at best, but stranger things have happened in our family (my ggrandfather Ralph Watson Ord married Jane Anne Ranson and his brother Edward Alexander Ord married her sister Margery Ranson) so it does happen!!
