Hi Pam and Andy,
My family come from Hall Court - My Great Great Grandad George Smith ran away with Catherine Hobby, the wife of one of the farm labourer's and was cut off from the family. I imagine the Wiliam you mention was his Grandfather as he is about 70 in the census. George's brother was a gambler who ran away to Australia, and their Dad remarried after their mother died, and the family estate passed on to her children. I'd love it if you could let me know anything about the family - it sounds as though we are all distantly related
.My Great Uncle has researched this side of the family, and I have recently been in touch with a second cousin who now has this, so may have a few bits and bobs to share at a later stage.
