Gerry,

I know this thread is really old, but the people you are talking about below are probably my ancestors.

I am visiting Scotland from the US and was hoping to find the graves of ancestors.  The heritage center in Motherwell was incredibly helpful, but they warned me against visiting the Globe for safety reasons.  I was very disappointed after traveling so far.  I even asked two cab drivers about going down there and they both told me not to go.

Are there ever group trips planned for safety?  I am leaving Scotland tomorrow, but if I am able to return I would love to visit this cemetary.

Also, if anyone does go and is able to photograph headstones for me, I would be so appreciative!  My 3X grandparents were Joseph Fraser ( d -12-12-1896) and Elizabeth Todd Fraser (d-1902).  They are buried in plot ED39. Joseph's parents were David Fraser (d-1-4-1864) and Agnes Leitch Fraser. Elizabeth's parents were Margaret Armstrong and Nathan Todd.  I do not know if the 4X generation is buried at The Globe.

Thanks for any help!

Sue,

Is the 3xG David Fraser you mention this one........................

David Frazer married to Helen Wilson who died in Ravenscraig (Wishaw) 04/11/1864 aged 61
Death record lists his parents as Joeseph Frazer (Coalminer) & Margaret Frazer (Sneddon)
His death is register by Joseph Frazer his son.

If this is your David then PM me your email and I will forward you the copy of the record.
