Hi sean , thanks for your reply, when my husbands parents died my sister-in-law tried to trace the ancestry back , but kept hitting a blank wall, can understand now why with them using so many different surnames,  we live in Warwickshire, three of James and Lizzie's boys moved here some 50 Odd years ago, came with a farmer from bosbury.one sister still lives in bosbury though, plus cousins.The comments on this page are very good reading though, don't no if you could give me more information though.

Just be reading about hoskins family , my late father-in-laws nan and grandad were called moses smith and Tenney hoskins, from Herefordshire, he lived in bosbury nr ledbury, his father was James hoskins and mother was Elizabeth, he used to say his nan and grandad  weren't married and half the children went in smith and the others in hoskins, his parents are buried in bosbury church yard , James and Lizzie had. 9 children , 7 boys and 2 girls
