That makes sense, however we do think that one of the women on a photo that we have of lucilla is my great aunt hilda.

Hi there
If this is lucilla Nelson then I think that this is part of my Fathers family. I am getting my father to check it - I think there is possibly Amelia Garrett (nee Butiffant) wife of Albert Edward Garrett, Hilda Buttifant, and possibly Doris, Alfred & Olive Garrett in this picture.
Olive Garret was my fraternal Grandmother.
Albert Edward Garrett was also killed in Palestine in 1917.

We have found this link - but it's as far as we can get unfortunately.
Lucilla is also listed as the mother of Albert Edward Garrett who was married to Amelia Garrett (my Dads Grandparents. We can't quite fathom out how is name is Garrett when she married William Nelson. She is listed as Alberts mother in the 1911 England census and was living with them in Norwich alongside a Charles Nelson.
Does anyone have any answers to this?

Lucilla Herbert Mullins (Millins) who married William Nelson is a direct descendant of my father.
We'd love to know how they met - this is as far back as we can go and we are wondering how on earth my fathers great great Grandfather met Lucilla. We have no family record of him travelling overseas.

Hi there!
Lucilla Herbert Mullins (Millins) married William Nelson of Norwich who is one of my fathers direct descendants.
I know that her father was Gregory Millins (Mullins) and that her mother was Mary Elizabeth Marshall - does anyone have any further information about her? This is as far as I can get in my research on our family tree.
