I have the PDF image from GRO of death certificate for Ada Coldicott, died Birmingham 1953, widow of Frederick Thomas Coldicott, railway goods checker. Not our Ada, wife of Arthur Coldicott born Dudley, Staffs.
I'd be happy to pass on this image via email to anyone interested.

Hello chatters, I'm looking for the home of Alfred Coldicott who was at The Croft, Frome Rd., Bath in 1959 when he died. In 1939 his address was 1 The Croft, Entry Hill, Bath. I have searched for the location of The Croft but to no avail. Can anyone tell me where this used to be please? Thank you in anticipation. Irene

You're welcome Nanna. There's not just one photo, and if my memory serves me well, which it doesn't much these days, he's on the back cover with a group, up in the hills. We had a family member, Harry Jeffrey, who was in Rabaul and died when the US sub sank the Montevideo Maru. The whole episode was one big debacle, and so sad for us, today, still.

Hello Nanna, I realise this is an old posting but you may not know that Doug Aust can be found in a book entitled 'Little Hell, the

Story of the ' compiled by Carl Johnson. There are photos of him, and possibly he is mentioned in the text. I have read this book recently and remembered the unusual name.

Hi Peter, If you go to National Archives of Australia site, naa.gov.au, click on 'name search', then 'record search', then type in VX35707 - his army number (no need to put in name or date) you will be taken to Frank's service record, which is open and free to view. His next of kin was Vivian Maher, sister. I don't know who the parents were, but may get around to my library to check, unless someone does this before me.
Thank you, I would like that photo.
Regards, Irene

Hi Peter, I have a group photo taken in Rabaul in 1941 by uncle Harry Jeffrey, including Mel Hoare. He is Melville Archie Earl Hoare, born 14 Jan 1913, Gundagai. The men were in the 2/22nd Battalion known as Lark Force. If you do a free search on rslvirtualmemorial site, you will see the photos and details I've put there of him. There is an entry for him on the Coolac Cemetery site, which you might already know about.
Regards, Irene
