Just saw your query about Timothy Hayes.

Ellen Hayes, who married Denis Desmond, one "n", was my great grandmother.

A book 'Eureka Stockade" by Richard Butler, might be of interest to you, it is available on line.
From memory after returning from South America Timothy lived in North Melbourne where he was the local dog catcher. He is buried in the Melbourne General Cemetery Carlton.
