Dr. Fleury mentioned above is Dr Kieran Fleury. He married Bridgid Lucy Begley in Limerick in 1906. Pvt William mentioned above was his brother. Dr Fleury died in 1952. He and Bridid Begley had 4 children. Kieran died 1925, Maria Monica, Una (mentioned above died in 1963) and Muriel Josephine. They are a branch of my family tree....Bridgid aka Bedelia was a 1st cousin of my greatgrandmother. I think there was another brother to Dr Fleury, JJ Fleury who was possibly a vet. They were all Catholics. Dr Fleury died 12 Jan 1952 and is buried in Clonoghill.

Clare / Re: Flanagan from Sixmilebridge

This is interesting. I live in Ireland and my mother's name is Flanagan (later O'Flanagan) and they hail (I think) from Sixmilebridge. Her father, my grandfather Patrick Flanagan was born in Sixmilebridge in 1903. His father, my great-grandfather was also called Patrick Flanagan and was born around 1870 ish. I do not know where but reportedly in Co. Clare. Was it in Sixmilebridge? No idea. My gg Grandfather's father (according to his marriage cert) was called Daniel Flanagan born I guess around 1840-50. Can't identify if he was from Clare even..I assume he might have been, and it might have been SMB ..its a wall in my family but there is a definite SMB link from the 1880s anway and possibly earlier.
