This appears to be an early English Will and difficult to decipher.

Just to helps things along, whose Will and date is it?   John Thathborne????  Surnames mentioned etc.   Sometimes these Wills etc are on National Archives and the brief details on the site does help.

On the Forest of Dean website, they have transcribed Gloucestershire Bonds and Licences...

In the early  18th century records, Mangottsfield (sometimes has two 'tt' s...)

One in 1785 and another in 1806 - states, Mangotsfield in the County of Gloucester and Diocese of Bristol).

Simeon Moreau.

The City of Gloucester

The ancient British name was Caer Glow, Caer fignifies a city, and Glow fair, a name it well deferves, being a fair city, firft built by Arvitagus A.D. 47 in honour of Claudius, the 5th Roman Emperor, whofe daughter he is faid to have married.  Antoninus Puis, the 16th Emperor, called it Glevum.

I don't subscribe to British Newpapers on line any more - but can see the outline of an article in the Gloucestershire Chronicle dated Saturday 8 November 1834.

Law ford's Gate of Correction - Samuel WARD alias DAGGER, J PARKER Esq., for threatening the life of  HANNAH MILSOM of BITTON; in order to prevent her giving evidence again John WARD alias DAGGER, now confined in donees the Gaol for felony.

May be Hannah wanted to escape BITTON.
