The owner of that tree (CHall) would seem to be John's daughter. Worthwhile getting in touch.

Do you  have his 1860 marriage record which should name his father. Remember that Morris could lso be Moritz or Moishe.

Australia / Robert Weatherhead - Woombye, Queensland
« on: Tuesday 25 March 25 00:36 GMT (UK)  »
My husband's 2nd great-uncle Robert Weatherhead emigrated from Ireland to Australia, but died in Ontario, Canada, while on a visit to the family here.  I've found reference to his estate in the Brisbane newspaper in 1923 and am wondering if it's possible to find the estate file.  The claimants named in the article are my husband's grandfather and siblings.

Apologies but I was only able to download the whole article, not just the piece I needed.

Canada Lookup Request / Re: Pilch Surname in Scott Township and Uxbridge.

Mark Benjamin's marriage in 1884 indicates he was born in Uxbridge Township, the son of Joseph & Elizabeth.  If he was born in Uxbridge, there will be no birth record as civil registration did not begin until 1869.

1871 Census indicates he was 9 years of age, born in England, along with his sister, Ann Sarah, aged 18.  Joseph indicates he is 87 years of age??  Elizabeth is 46.

I'm seeing a marriage of Joseph & Elizabeth (nee Slater) in 1846 in All Saints, Norwich.  Joseph is shown as a widower.  Joseph dies in 1886, aged 89, which is likely closer to his actual age.

1861 Census has the family in Uxbridge, but Mark is not shown with them, so this would seem to indicate that he was likely born there.  Two older sisters, Hannah M., aged 12, and Sarah A., aged 8, both born in England.

You may find birth notices in the Toronto papers which are available to search if you want to send me the info you have by PM.

When they marry in 1885, John is full age which generally meant over the age of 21.  For women, full age was generally aged 18, but she is considerably older than he is the 1901 census.  Your second link in your post is also for the 1901 census so here's the correct one for 1911:
