It will amuse my son to find out his father has engineers and a master plumber as forebears . The practicality gene has passed me by .

Thanks . I'll check that site out , its down at present . Do you know how far the family goes back in Scotland . Part of the Robertson clan I think . And how they ended up in Everton . cheers

Hi Ivor . Yes that's correct . Joseph Weigh and Maria Mc Robie had a son and daughter . The son Edwin Mcrobie Weigh was my grandfather . He was born in Nantwich area in 1896 . I never met him he died before I was born . I knew nothing of the McRobie Liverpool / Scotland connection until recently . It seems we are cousins . Best Regards skeeter

Just discovered James Allan McRobie mentioned is my gt gt grand father . My gt grandfather married his daughter Maria . Any info on family would be much appreciated . thanks
