The sacred memory - JOHN hagardo of Glendelvine, esquire, famous scooter with juridical means socil. He was a man righteous, and of firm purpose of the oppressed, and do not give allunde the help of an advocate; In defending the freedom and rights of citizens, especially strenuous legitmamque wine, dear honorable friend died much strava, p. On his bad health 1816 at age 57.

It appears that John is quite a character including legal battles with the Church etc.

Thanks for all that

I could not find the same details of the Census 1851 / 1861 on Scotlands Peoples. I am not sure of the index source mentioned.

BC indicates Peter married to Isabella Moncur and also his father was James.

I have all the Moncur ancestors etc.

It is Peters wife and father James details / ancestors that is confusing / missing.

I am a direct descendant of Peter and have all the descendant details if anybody wishes to know.

The DC does not indicate mothers details.

The only birth cert for a Peter
JAMES
HAGGART/MARY
CREARER
is in 1828 not 1818

Maybe somebody can enlighten us further

Peter Haggart is my Grandfather x 2.

Son Peter Haggart and family also emigrated to Aust. Sydney in 1928

I have some records back to about 1750 which you are welcome to have.
