Thanks Gillian and Jackie for getting back to me.

I didn't have that census information so that's great! I'm fairly new to this, we're trying to track down any ancestors that John Hickman might have, any research suggestions would be greatly appreciated!  ;D

Hi Gillian, I'm doing some research for the BBC on a geneology item and I'm looking into the Hickman family.

I'm particularly interested in John Hickman born 1885. It says on the notes I have that he was born in Bletchingdon, Oxfordshire. Bletchingdon isn't too far from Birmingham and I was wondering if  the John Hickman you've mentioned in your first post could be the same?

Sorry for contacting you out of the blue, just thought it would be great if we could make the connection!  :)
