Joseph Pitman - widower married Mary Allcroft - widow on February 23 1825 at St Peter's Worcester.

The film is very, very faint but the witnesses appear to be Joseph and Sarah Hunt who signed with their mark.

There is no trace of either of their first marriages in the Worcestershire Marriage Index.

Your grandfather was baptised on 30 July 1876 at St Clements Church Worcester by the Rector F H Richings. Your know that Frederick's parents were William and Annie. He is described as a grocer and the family lived in Hylton Street.

Sorry but no sign of the baptism of any Edwins 1807-1818 at Harvington, St James.
Only one baptism for a Charles. He was Charles Vale a twin, he and his sibling George were baptised Feb 18 1807, the sons of Thomas and Mary Vale.

Just to confirm that the MFHS database doesn’t have a transcription of the Tenbury parish baptismal records for the dates that you wanted.

The parish register for St Andrews, Worcester has two entries for the baptism of Thomas Swift the son of Thomas Swift,  a soldier and his wife Elizabeth. The first on 28 March 1813 and the other on 9 May 1813.

The bad news is that the Tenbury Parish Register which covers the dates that you are interested in,  is in a very poor state due to water damage. This means that possibly two thirds of all entries on the film of the Parish Register are unreadable for the early 1800s. The parchment pages are shrivelled at the top, so the year has been obliterated or is very faint. The water damage can be over more than 2/3rds of the page. I’ll see if the Malvern Family History Society managed to transcribe the legible ones,  http://www.mfhs.org.uk/ as it’s possible to search their database for free at The Hive.

Sometimes the copy of the BMD’s  known as the  Bishop’s Transcript (BT) exist, but  as there isn’t  a copy at Worcester,  so I assume that Tenbury BT’s have not survived.

To answer the 4 points you raised:-

1) There is only one marriage in the Worcs Marriage Index which fits your criteria as having taken place between 1800 and 1815 and it took place at St Andrews, Worcester on 19 January 1810 between Thomas Swift and Elizabeth Morris.

2) The above would fit with CaroleW’s find of a baptism of a son Thomas to Thomas and Elizabeth in the same parish on 9 May 1813.

Have you considered that Thomas might have come from Burford, Shropshire or one of the other nearby parishes outside Worcestershire? Burford is only just over a mile from Tenbury.

3) Checked  National Burial Index - No Worcestershire death of a suitable Thomas Swift between 1815-1820. (NBI  includes Tenbury records).

4) Checked  Worcs Marriage Index. No re-marriage in Worcestershire for a Matthew Parker between 1815-1820.

Jane Matilda Whiting was buried in consecrated ground on 11 November 1887 at Worcester Cemetery,  Astwood Road, in grave space 25151. The ceremony was performed by the Reverend P Norton. Jane was a widow aged 60, whose death occurred where she resided in Tunnel  Road ?, Claines. 

There is a road called Tunnel Hill off Astwood Road, and that was in Claines parish until 1884, so the address is a bit odd for 1887.

Perhaps Netti can check her cemetery map and let you know where 25151 is.

The parish register for St Clements, Worcester indicates that both William and Eleanor were "of this parish". The witnesses were C or E Radcliffe (signature) and Hannah Taylor (her mark)
