I too am related and my grandfathers father was William Angelo Maspero and my grandfather is Maspers...... The o must have got dropped at some point.

There is someone on here called Lei .... I have been in touch with her recently and we have shared her tree....I could put you in touch with her..... I should really like to see your tree.....

Also my mother Margaret North has done our tree on Ancestry.co.uk, as much as she could find out anyway.
She is not subscribed to it at present tho.
Feel free to contact me anytime.

Thank you for your reply Lei, and for the information.... Do you know any more of Inncensio and any information of the earlier time of his family in Capiago?

My grandfather was John Harry Maspers... The (o) was dropped at some point. His father was William Angelo ....

Regards
Gail

Hello chars
I believe the Maspero's were in leatherhead in Surrey when they first came to this country. Then quite a few moved to Cape Town South Africa

They were clockmakers and barometer makers. For a while they lived above the Dukes Head in high street, leatherhead.
My grandfather John Harry Maspers ( now deceased) aged92 is the son of William Angelo Maspero
He said they lived in Carshalton
Hope to hear from you soon
Gail
