Hi John, I was just googling Francis Gilbert Dowling and came across your forum posts on this site. I wanted say hi and to let you know that I can give you a lot of information on the Dowling family you are tracing. My mother's name is Margaret Dowling, her parents: Dorothy Olga and Francis Gilbert, and his parents: Harold George Dowling (brother to Francis Gilbert who died in WWI) and Mary Ann, and his parents: Walter Edward Henry Dowling and Elizabeth. My grandmother Dorothy is still alive and we have done quite a bit of our own research on the family. Let me know if there is any information you still need. Great to meet another Dowling!
