Hi,
Thank you for posting.  I had no information about the children of Allan and Jean.
I do have my grandfather's diaries from the early 1940's with references to Auntie Jean and Uncle Allan.  Jean died just two days after her sister (my grandfather's mother) and Uncle Allan is mentioned as looking after my then-twelve-year old grandfather.
I have the children of George Taylor and Agnes (McGregor) as:
Catherine Dryborough Taylor B1888 D1968
Agnes Ann Taylor B1890 D1980
George Taylor B1892 D1951
James McGregor Taylor B1894 D1953
Violet Elizabeth Ellen Taylor B1899 D1994
Hector Gordon Taylor B1901 D1975
Eva Marjorie Taylor B 1905 D1942 (this is my line)
Gladys Jean Taylor B1908 D1942
Dorothy Mavis Taylor B1911 D1996

George and Agnes (parents) and Eva share a plot at Cheltenham Cemetery Section: Section CX Drive: A Path (#): 10(21) Site Number: 279N.  As with the other family members, the plot is unmarked.
Jean and Eva both died of TB (we think).

I have never found any photographs of any family members - this is the ultimate aim for me now.

Let me know if you want to share more!
Cheers, Jo

Wow - thanks!
I had no record of more children being born once they arrived in Australia.  Makes sense though...
I am very happy to share anything I have if you let me know where you have a gap.
Cheers!

Also, George, Agnes and Eva Marjorie all share a plot at the Cheltenham Cemetery.  George Jnr is also at Cheltenham.  I will go for a walk tomorrow to check out his headstone - let me know if you would like a pic.

Hi,
Thanks!  I will change the dates I have for your George... he would be the older brother of Eva Marjorie   :D
Eva died in 1942 from an illness and her son (my grandfather) was raised by the youngest sister, Dorothy Mavis.
...making Kenneth Frank the cousin of my grandfather!
It is very exciting when pieces of the puzzle come together  :)

Thank you  :)
That clarifies things a bit.  It is all very complicated... the repetition of names and crossover of dates has confused me no-end.
So I have George Taylor (1840-1910) son of Charles Taylor (1817-?) and Ann (1816-?) and Mary Ann Richardson (1838-1917) daughter of James Richardson (1812-?) and Hannah (1813-?).  Does that line up with what you have?
Of their children, I am most interested in George (1867-1941) and Agnes McGregor (1867-1930) and their children.  They would be my great, great grandparents.  So I really want to confirm that I have the right line of George Taylors.
Any information you can share would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Josee

The George and Mary Ann who migrated on the Hesperus with their children, who were wool cleaners and weavers as shown in the English Census documents of 1861 and 1871 are NOT the parents of Fred...they lived in Birmingham according to the 1871 Census with Fred aged 3 and two lodgers.

I am seeking more information about George and Mary Ann, parents of Alfred, Elizabeth, William and George.  Particularly George (Jr) who married Agnes McGregor and went on to have nine children (by my records!).
Many thanks.
