I am looking for info about Elizabeth Hornick from Mount Nebo who received compensation after the 1798 rebellion. We are trying to determine if she was the wife of Philip Hornick who was killed in the rebellion. Philip married Elizabeth Gifford in 1797. My uncle was told that Elizabeth died of shock but we have no evidence of this. There is mention of a watch in the compensation and the story of Philip does include a watch. We are also trying to determine if George Hornick was the son of Philip. He was raised in Old Ross by Peter Hornick who is my ancestor. George is possibly connected to another family who are trying to make the connection.

Any info would be appreciated as we are in Canada and it is difficult to access records. I was told that records were lost in a fire.
