I thought it wise to go back to a definite confirmed ancestor and tried to find her children and grandchildren, but am having difficulty. So I thought I'd go back to the earliest I could confirm on SP and I found John Spence b1754 parents John Spence and Marjory Allan. I'm going to reconfirm every step to make sure that I have the correct ancestors.

Thank you so much for all the information. I've started on the sites you suggested and will double check and confirm as I go. I've confirmed Isobill Langskeall on SP 24/8/1691 with parents James Langskeall and Isobill Coupland.  :)

Thanks for that. I did manage to find a baptism for 24 August 1691 at Holm and Paplay (990501) would that be the one you found? Also I'm looking for information on her parents, now that they are confirmed, please.

Hi All
I'm trying to find out information on my 6G Grandmother Isobill Langskeall B:bef 24 Aug 1691 Holm and Paplay, Orkney, Scotland. She married Patrick Allan b1692. I think her parents were James Langskeall and Isobill Coupland b1672, but I'm not able to confirm this. Would anyone have any information that is verifiable? I have found 3 other possible spouses, but also am not sure if it is the same Isobill Langskeall.

Hi
I have a Katharine Groundwater B:abt 1698 Orkney, Scotland in my family tree. She married John Crawford B:abt 1695 Holm, Orkney, Scotland. She was my 6G Grandmother and I live in Australia. I don't have any parents for her, so I'm not sure whether she had a brother Magnus.

How on earth did you find this article? I've tried searching Trove and came up with nothing. I guess it's inexperience. Thanks again for your help.

Hi Cando

I'm relatively new still to this (only 2 years searching), but it only says William Williams. How do you know it is William Blackman Williams?

I'm doing a course and they've taught me to verify everything. William Williams is a common name, hence why I've been struggling for a while trying to find info.

I do really appreciate your help as he's been a brick wall for sometime.

Kind regards
Karen

I have looked up this article, but cannot find his name in there.
Are you sure this is the correct article?
Thanks

Don,
Euphemia also married a Christopher Spence, so maybe the Census meant him when listing as a brother.
Either that or I totally have the wrong people and the Census doesn't belong to them at all.
Thanks for your input, it was helpful.
I'm going to look into which of the 3 Marys might be mine. I'm leaning towards the middle one.
