Lanarkshire / Re: Samuel McMaster 1810

Thanks Monica! I have searched with his siblings and I can't find any more on their parents or find out where they went. I'm on ancestry.ca and anyone who has them in their tree, also seems to end with the parents names. I don't know if a name if wrong or a date, I'm desperate to find out where Samuel came from and why he left Scotland!

This post is many years old now. Which of Walter's children were you wanting information on?

Walter and his wife Christianna immigrated to Pictou on the Ship Hector with their daughter Elizabeth in 1773. He had more children in Nova Scotia, most of their ancestors are still between Pictou, Merigomish and Cape Breton Island.

If you're still interested in more detail let me know, or if you know which child of his you're interested in.

Thanks!

Lanarkshire / Samuel McMaster 1810
« on: Tuesday 03 March 15 18:02 GMT (UK)  »
Hi everyone,

I'm new here, I joined because I'm trying to find information on Samuel McMaster. I have that he was born March 31, 1810 in Barony, Lanarkshire to James McMaster and Jean Young. I can't find any other information on him there.
He married a Margaret McDonald and had children in Nova Scotia, Canada, then he married my 5xgrandmother Catherine Henderson, and had Duncan and Samuel McMaster.

If anyone has any information at all about Samuel that would be wonderful, or of James McMaster and Jean (Jane) Young.

Thanks!
