Children to Thomas and Maria all baptised St Mary's Portsmouth

Maria Brooks 19 May 1822 died/bur 17 Aug 1826

Maria married Benjamin Shaw 14Apr 1828 at Wymering Maria age 32y and Benjamin 82/83y
Children to Benjamin and Maria
Benjamin Cornelius Shaw b 5 Jan 1829 d 5 May 1845 at Mud Cottage
Emma Shaw bap 13 June 1830 d 19 May 1847 at Mud Cottage
Emma was born after her father (Benjamin) died on 14 Oct 1829.
I am sure Emma was the Daughter of George Saunders who Maria was living with at Mud Cottage when her next daughter was born

Amelia Saunders bap15 July 1833 d 1910 Plumstead Kent. My Grandfather's mother

Maria Saunders bap30Aug 1836 bur 14 May 1841 ( Maria was an unlucky name)
Albert Edward Francis Saunders bap 11 Mar 1838 d 1875 in the Street Portsea while in the Navy.
Emily b 4 Jan 1841 d 2 Sept 1868 Mill Lane Hardway Gosport. My Grandmother's mother.
George Saunders died at Mud Cottage 29 Sept 1844 Benjamin Shaw junior and Emma Shaw are buried with him.
Maria is then living with John Pratt who died at Mud Cottage 15 July 1857
Maria died at Mud Cottage 24 Feb 1864.

There was also a Thomas Bickford died in The House of Industry Alverstoke age 7 months. Mary Ann Bickford was in the House of Industry with her 4 daughters in 1851 census.
George Henry Saunders m Mary Amelia Green 3 Nov 1856 Mary died 9 Sept 1860. I have found no children of this marriage and do not know if he married again.
Albert Edward Saunders m Martha Ann Gamblin 24 Sept 1856. I have found no children from this marriage.
I have a lot more infomation on Maria's daughter's Amelia and Emily but the story does get a lot more complicated with a bigamous marriage.
