thank for the post.
I don't have any matches, so far, to your family.
Best of luck to you.
MacLean's have been very hard to locate.

Hey Rachael!
I just got around to figuring out that your husband and I are 4th cousins! Your father -in- law and I are 3rd cousins once removed!
( I'm pretty sure I did that right)

Oh this is exciting!
I do hope with ALL of your connections over there
you can help me with all the "why's" and "how's" of
the family. I am so thrilled I could bust!
Have a great day,
Valerie
PS - I sent my email address to your PM inbox.

Great!  :D
I hope that you have lots of information to share! I have been working on my "Crow" line for 9 years and you are the first person that has had any type of connection! I was really starting to feel like I was the only survivor left in 'this' Crow family. It was getting very lonely being the only researcher.
Please write back!

Younie,
Thanks for replying, any tid bit of information is very nice.
So the book states that there was a redevelopment in the 19th century and 185 WAS on the north side?
Do you know of a way to find about what year the street was changed?
Hey, by chance you don't happen to know what the names of the 7 familes are that are listed on the census?
Thanks for your time!

Scotland / Hunter Family Search
« on: Wednesday 22 March 06 02:55 GMT (UK)  »
Hello to all!
I am on a hunt for a "Hunter" family that came from Scotland, but the location is unknown.
This is what I have:
John Hunter (father) born abt. 1873
(wife is unknown)
Lena (daughter) born abt. 1905
Archibald (son) born abt. 1906
James (son) born abt. 1909
John (son) born abt. 1910

Could someone look through the 1910 or 1920 census and see if this family fits anywhere?
Or does anyone else have a better idea on finding a location on them?
Thanks to anyone who can help!
Valerie

Aberdeenshire / Obit look up?
« on: Thursday 02 March 06 20:30 GMT (UK)  »
Hello to all!
I have found that 3 of my "MacLean's" went from the Moray area to the Aberdeen area until their deaths.
First one:
Christina MacLean died on 15 Apr 1950, she was 83.
Second one: (Christina's daughter)
Elizabeth MacLean Peterkin died on 10 Dec 1972, she was 71.
Third one: (also a daughter)
Mary MacLean Anderson died on 24 Sep 1974, she was 84.

My question is - Does anyone have access to seeing if they had Obits in the local newpaper?
Thanks!
Valerie
