1.  SAMUEL2 POPE  (SAMUEL1 COLLING) was born Abt. 1780 in Etchingham, Sussex.  He married CHARLOTTE BAILEY December 11, 1810 in Ewhurst, Sussex, England, daughter of SAMUEL BAILEY and HANNAH KNIGHT.  She was born Abt. 1788 in Ewhurst, Sussex, and died Bef. 1825.

He married Hannah ? Abt 1825

Notes for SAMUEL POPE:
The Select Vestry Minutes of Etchingham Sussex (1819 - 1826) mention:
At a meeting of the Select Vestry for the Parish of Etchingham, held in the Parish Church, on Monday the 29th day of May 1820. The following members were present The Rev Hugh Totty, John Snepp jnr, John Newington, Joseph Hyland, Benjamin Sawyer, Michael Harris, George Sawyer and Tilden Smith.
Resolved unanimously that the aforesaid Hugh Totty, Rector, be appointed Chairman of this meeting. ...
Samuel Pope, 3 Gallons of flour and some money. It is recommended to him that if he has no weaving, to work in Husbandry which he will be employed in.
