Hi Sophiedog,
I know that I'm replyig to a very old post but I have only just found it. Albert Edward Brown is my grandfather (my mothers side of the family). He is a difficult person to research but I have a small amount of information that might help you if you are still interested.
Regards,
Ivor

Hi,
I was very excited to find this thread.
I have been trying to research Emily Holmes - Richard Cole - Albert Brown for some time and up until now, have only found 'sketchy' information.
I can confirm that Emily Married Richard Cole in 1900 at Birmingham.
She then married Albert Edward Brown in 1908.

Emily and Albert Edward Brown are my grandparents.

If you need any further information about their descendants, I would be happy to help.

Your research has certainly helped me.
Sincere thanks,
Ivor

New Zealand Completed Requests / Re: Richard Tear of Stoke, Nelson
« on: Tuesday 23 December 14 19:47 GMT (UK)  »
Hi Jacq, I am a newbie to RootsChat but just came across what must be an old post of yours.
I don't know how much you found out about Richard Tear but I can confirm that his full name was Richard Miller Tear and was the son of William Tear and Judith Richards from Potton, Bedfordshire. His second name came from his grandmother, Elizabeth Miller. He had 8 siblings, Mary Ann, William, Maria Mason, Jacob Miller, Elizabeth, Thomas, Sarah and Charlotte. His sister, Mary Ann Tear, eventually married Thomas Parkin at Biggleswade, Bedfordshire in 1842. That is where I fit into the story, Mary Ann Tear and Thomas Parkin were my great, great grandparents.
I'm sorry if I am repeating what you already know but I hope that this will help you.
Please contact me if you need more info.
Best Regards,
