Hi Comfort I am wondering how your research is going into Richard Trigg born 1815? I believe he is my great grandmother's father. Her name was Sarah Ann Trigg and she was born in SHeffield in 1856. Her daughter, my grandmother, Alice Trigg, was born in Sheffield in 1893. I have grown up with the story of the Trigg family, brush makers,  moving from Ireland to Liverpool in the mid 1800s. They set up a brush factory in Liverpool that burned down after which the family dispersed. If you have any information to share, please do get in touch. Best wishes

Hello I just thought you might be interested to know I am also researching the Trigg family of Ireland. My grandmother was Alice Trigg. I've traced her descendants back to Richard Twigg, master brush maker. Her parents I understand were Thomas Trigg and Sarah Megginson. Alice married John Hetherington in 1915. I have some anecdotal info from my family that backs up the Ireland brush maker heritage. I knew of move to Liverpool then the family settling in Sheffield where they are still to this day. Do get in touch.
