Where did Margaret come from and who did she arrive in Hamilton with?
The woman I have not seen or read about, the men recruited as Military Settlers I have some understanding about but the woman seem to be mysteries!
Does anyone have any information on these New Zealand Pioneer woman? or where to look?

Arthur CARTER married Margaret O`CONNOR, 1867 in Hamilton. I did not get a death entry for Arthur!, why I have no idea?! A bad mistake !
Their son, Arthur I remember as a child, known as pop CARTER, lived in Otahuhu, corner of Atkinson Ave and Church St. He had built this house of selected kauri.
I have been searching for information for many years with little result. I do not recall my mother or grandmother mentioning "Felix" which I have noted in the NZ deaths.
Arthur CARTER married Jessie Elizabeth CAMPTON in Ak on the 13 Oct 1897, Ponsonby, 4 children.
My grandmother, Gladys Alma CARTER is the last child, siblings being....Arthur Ivan, Elizabeth May, Lilian Annie.
Any information on this CARTER family would be most appreciated.
